Conleth Doherty

Conleth has more than 25 years manufacturing and operational experience in various factory and production environments.

Over the years Conleth has held engineering and management roles within global manufacturing operations for Xerox and Seagate Technology.

He co-founded FAST Technologies Ltd in 2001 and since then has grown the business year on year. Conleth brings many years experience in Toolroom Operations, Scheduling and Management, Design, Prototyping and Production Process Flow.

Conleth focuses extensively on the operational systems for FAST Technologies driving forward and implementing continuous improvement programs, quality, environmental, H&S management and training systems.

His strong technical and managerial background gained from many years engineering experience has provided Conleth with the necessary skill set to understand and develop the technical, commercial and future requirements as the business evolves and develops new market opportunities.

Colin Spence

Colin heads up the Sales & Marketing effort for FAST  Technologies he is an engineer who understands the commercial and technical aspect for large complex technical sales, has gained over 18 years experience in the provision of  custom solutions for semiconductor-MEMs, optoelectronics, energy storage and automation industries.

Previously employed with Valence Lithium Battery company, assuming the role of Global Market Development Manager for Bulk Energy Storage where typical responsibilities included defining a strategy for business and sales channel development in US and EMEA for Stationary Energy Storage and Marine Energy Systems ranging from 1 kW to 10 MW scale-battery deployments for utility, industrial or commercial operators to developing market intelligence within US & EMEA, analysis of regulations and market trends, competitor and customer intelligence, market modelling, product development, etc. and acquiring projects with relevant customers groups, i.e Vestas, Red Electrica, National Grid etc.

Prior to joining Valence Colin spent 10 years as the Managing Director for Euris Semiconductor supplying semiconductor manufacturing equipment and previous to that engineering roles within Analog Devices and BCO Technologies.

Eamonn Lynch

Eamonn has 20 years’ experience in Factory Automation, Semiconductor Processing and General Manufacturing and specializes in Wet Process Equipment, Fluid Flow Systems, Process Control, Automation and Manufacturing Solutions.

He has extensive experience working with global based companies and has both led engineering teams and supported customer operations in the USA and Europe.  Initially an Electronics Engineer , Eamonn began his career within the Equipment Engineering department at Seagate Technology.

He co-founded FAST Technologies Ltd and has many years experience in Project Management, Systems Specification, Design, Prototyping and System Development.

He also has a solid knowledge base and experience in Equipment Legislation, Manufacturing, Procurement & Supply Chain Logistics, Customer Support and Field Service.

Eamonn works extensively on large scale projects for high profile clients within Semiconductor and Chemical applications and supports the engineering team providing guidance in a wide range of solutions in other project fields from automated assembly systems, control platforms and DC systems to Workflow Automation Solutions and Factory Control.

Joe Gallagher

Joe has over 12 years of automation experience gained in medical packaging equipment, biomass renewables, wet process systems and electrical controls that include inverters and drives, various plc control platforms coupled with algorithm development for complex applications. Joe has been with FAST Technologies since 2005 and has held a number of engineering positions before being appointed as Project Manager for the Automation & Machine Build division in 2013.

He has a wealth of knowledge of all the market sectors we serve and has delivered turnkey package solutions to our clients on a global scale that range from the automotive, semiconductor, power transmission & pharmaceutical sectors.

He currently leads our team of Project engineers, Designers and technicians ensuring all aspects of our clients requirements are delivered on time, within budget and to the very highest standard.

Joe’s responsibilities allow him to concentrate on the management of all automation projects and work closely with the engineering team to ensure we focus on key area’s such as, design, procurement, scheduling, assembly and final test.

Shay Glenn

Shay has been working within engineering industries for the past 16 years. He has extensive experience covering areas within the Manufacturing, Facilities and Semiconductor industries.

He currently works as the DC Systems Manager within FAST Technologies. In this role he oversees the DC systems department, designing and managing the manufacturing of DC Power supplies, battery tripping units and best battery diodes for the power generation and switchgear industries. End users include data centres, hospitals, universities and airports.

Shay has been with FAST since 2010. He started as a Project Engineer and quickly progressed to management level within the organisation. Previous to this Shay worked with companies such as Seagate and Dalkia.

In Seagate Shay worked within the Facilities department as a Senior Facilities Engineer, managing Facilities Infrastructure Capital Projects, Contractors, Tool relocation’s and Installations. During his time with Dalkia Shay worked with his client Bombardier Aerospace as an Energy Manager. His goals were to make energy reductions and savings within Bombardier’s five Belfast sites.

Mark Higgins

Mark is a graduate Electrical and Electronic Engineer from the University of Manchester and holds an MSc in Electronics and Software Systems.

With over 20 years’ engineering experience in high volume manufacturing, Mark has held various Engineering and R&D roles across chemical, textile and semiconductor industries for companies such as DuPont, DuPont Dow Elastomers, Invista and Seagate. Throughout his career to date, Mark has overseen and developed new process, managed project teams and facilitated numerous continuous improvement projects.

Mark now leads the Manufacturing Software Solutions business unit with FAST Technologies, bringing Manufacturing Intelligence to client companies. In this role he oversees the development and deployment of critical OEE, Process Control and Workflow solutions enabling customers to see and ultimately relieve their pain points from within their business.

A Six-Sigma practitioner, Lean Manufacturing Master and Kepner-Tregoe facilitator he understands the acute issues companies face on their journey to Business Excellence and how leveraging IT solutions will elevate the business to a new point on that journey.

Paul Lynch

Paul joined FAST in 2007 and is currently responsible for engineering design. He has 10 years’ design experience gained in areas such as Factory Automation, Semiconductor Processing and General Manufacturing.

Having worked with global companies such as Terex, Paul is highly experienced and knowledgeable in all areas of engineering design including R&D, component specification, prototyping, testing and simulation. He is also highly competent with various design software including Pro-Engineer, SolidWorks and AutoCAD.

Paul has been responsible for the design of numerous pieces of capital equipment including high volume robotic packing and assembly systems for the automotive industry, chemical delivery and automated handling systems for the semiconductor industry as well as designing many bespoke engineering solutions across a number of industries.

David Biddle

David with over 30 years of experience in engineering, he joined FAST in 2014 and he is responsible for numerous engineering projects from the concept stage right through to the onsite commissioning and training. He has a wide range of knowledge gained working in various industries, as an engineer in medical device company, as a lead engineer in a high volume manufacturing companies and as a project manager in rapid transfer sortation systems.

From design and implementation of small manual assembly systems to large automation and inspection systems, incorporating vision, automated control, pneumatic’s, hydraulics and environmental control, David has gained a wealth of experience.

David has acquired considerable expertise in design, programming multiple PLC platforms, installation, commissioning and maintenance of various automation processes, he is capable of dealing with all the challenges that project engineers are confronted with.
