HOW ‘FAST’ IS SANTA
[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Over 300 people have took part in a charity ‘Santa Dash’ in Derry.
The event, which left Sainsbury’s car park at Meadowbank, was held as a fundraiser for the Foyle Hospice.
Noel McMonagle, Community Fundraising Manager with the Hospice, said t the Hospice was now seeking to make the ‘Santa Dash’ an annual event due to the turnout.
“We had around 340 people, and we’re delighted with that, since we’ve only brought the event back this year for the first time in about five years,” he said.
“The reason we actually did the Santa Dash this was that so many people had been onto us about doing it, so we’re now looking at now having it on an annual basis.”
He concluded: “The Santa Dash is a more family orientated event, it’s totally non-competitive and it’s a great way for people to raise funds for the Hospice by having a bit of craic at Christmas.”
Well done to our very own ‘FAST’ Santa’s for raising money for this worthwhile cause.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
