What does this role contribute to the Company?
Due to business growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Product Manager within Chemical Delivery and Wet Systems Division. As Technical Product Manager you will be responsible for the full product lifecycle of new and existing products. You will work closely with all departments within the company to support the continued growth of Chemical Delivery and Wet Systems Portfolio.
What we will ask of you:
- To liaise between client stakeholders and the manufacturing team, serving as the primary point of contact.
- Manage key product ranges from inception, validation, introduction to maintaining product files.
- Ensuring project delivery on schedule and within budget, with a focus on client satisfaction and success.
- Meticulously tracking and reporting on product/project progress and performance.
- Manage and control changes to product.
- Ensure Design practices and processes are standardised across the design team.
- Perform and arrange testing on prototypes to relevant CE & SEMI Standards.
- Maintenance of product information on the company’s marketing and inhouse MES systems.
- Setting transparent expectations both internally and externally to prevent unexpected surprises.
- Prioritizing work based on stakeholders needs and communicating effectively with team.
- Skilfully gathering and evaluating requirements to produce top-quality business scope documents.
- Gathering performance and feedback from end-user to enhance and deliver new and innovative systems.
- Look at cost reduction per product on an annual basis.
- Look at techniques that can drive out waste, improve productivity, reduce design and delivery times.
- Investigate methods that can improve lead time from suppliers.
- Investigate methods that can improve delivery time to the customer.
- Review forecasts with the sales team and recommend stock decisions that will improve lead times.
- Mentor and coach, your direct reports to ensure they develop in line with company expectations.
- Promote and build a positive and vibrant team spirit.
- Align with the company’s Strategy / Vision and deliver this message through leadership skills.
What we are looking for:
Essential:
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in engineering product management
- Previous involvement in process improvement, workflow enhancement of manufacturing processes and product design lifecycles.
- Experience in a similar manufacturing setting with a proven track record of meeting strict deadlines in a pressurised environment.
- Proactive approach to remove obstacles and resolve conflicts to empower the team’s success, ensuring on-time and on-budget product delivery.
- Able to use computer systems designed to support product production including proficiency in Microsoft packages.
- The ability to communicate clearly and persuasively with team, managers, directors, and stakeholders.
- Understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulations
Desirable:
- Third level qualification within an engineering or chemical engineering discipline
- Chemical handling and fluid flow experience
