What does this role contribute to the Company?
The successfully appointed candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and implementing new software solutions in .NET, and wider integration application technologies including business partners to develop and delivery factory control systems that address the immediate and future needs of the business.
What we will ask of you:
- Design and implementation of complex factory-critical software solutions that integrate with existing investments in manufacturing execution and factory control systems.
- Specifying and producing factory critical software solutions that provide high dollar cost saving solutions to Operations and Research & development business challenges.
- Involvement in the analysis & design phases of the software development life cycle
- Work with business analyst to produce design documentation and functional specification
- Development of software components based on specifications
- Unit and system testing of software components
- Implementation and testing of software systems that strictly meet customer requirements
- Supporting, enhancing, and maintaining FAST developed software and software infrastructure/processes
- Provide technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and developing IT systems
- Participate in cross-functional teams to solve business problems
- To perform any additional duties in line with the position
- Compliance with Health & safety policy and procedure
What we are looking for:
Essential:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Software Engineering or Computer Science discipline or relevant experience
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience ideally with in software development experience
- Experience using the .NET development environment: C#/VB.net ASP.NET/Webforms/MVC/Webservices/WinForms/Console applications
- Experience using MSSQL
- Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently, identify problems, areas for improvement, define requirements, develop, and implement solutions
- Most importantly, a genuine interest in designing the best technical solutions.
Desirable:
- Experience in the application of statistics
- Previous Web development
- Experience of software integration within a manufacturing setting
