FAST Technologies is now seeking to recruit a Toolmaker for their production facility, in Derry~Londonderry:

 Job Details

Contract Type: Full-time/Permanent

Location: Derry/Londonderry

Hours of Work: 40 hours per week

Salary: Negotiable and depending on experience

As a Toolmaker, you will be responsible for providing highly reactive support to internal business demands as well as customer focused projects. You will be required to assist engineers in the completion of projects ensuring internal quality control and best practice is adhered to.


  • Manufacture high precision assemblies and components.
  • Repair and maintenance of mechanical assemblies.
  • Manufacture high precision assemblies and components.
  • Understanding technical drawings
  • Achieve project milestones within a given time frame and budget.
  • Maintain, repair and service existing / new equipment
  • Work in a cleanroom environment, on or with wet process equipment and / or automated assemblies.


Essential Criteria:

  • 1 years’ Experience as a toolmaker in an engineering environment
  • Ability to understand technical drawings to complete tasks in their entirety
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to demonstrate an adaptable approach
  • Experience in CAD/CAM design and CNC programming.
  • Experience of Inspection processes and Quality Control measures.


Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience in Metal Fabrication and Welding
  • he ideal candidate will have a strong interest in providing mechanical solutions.
  • They will be able to communicate with other departments on issues identified and be able to work well with others.
